Credits & pricing

Usage is metered in prepaid credits. One credit = $0.01. Cheap reads drive adoption; the resolution, point-in-time, and cross-source join patterns are the moat, so they cost more.

How metering works#

  • · Discovery is free. Listing tools, reading the catalog, and checking your balance never cost credits.
  • · You spend on the answer. A successful tools/call (or REST data request) debits that tool's weight.
  • · Failures are refunded. A 500 is never billed, and several tools return a no-charge result when a valid query yields nothing billable. See Errors.
  • · The $1 trial. Every new workspace starts with a three-day trial with 300 research credits, so you can run real multi-tool research loops before a plan starts. It becomes $29/mo on Starter after day 3 unless you cancel. Arkolith is a paid product: sustained usage means a monthly plan.

Monthly plans#

The $1 trial is three days of Starter; after that Starter continues at $29/mo unless you cancel from Billing first. Each plan includes a credit allowance that refreshes on your billing date and does not roll over. Paid plans do not unlock hidden datasets: they buy volume, how fast Form 4 filings reach you, and whether we email you what changed on the names you watch.

PlanPer monthIncluded creditsBriefs
Starter$05,000about 500
Developer$125,000about 2,500
Pro$175,000about 7,500

Briefs are the heaviest common call at 10 credits, so that column is the pessimistic read of a month. Most lookups cost 1.

Why metered, not seat-based
Your agent calls our MCP server directly. We never run inference. You pay for data, not for someone else's model tokens, so a deep research loop costs cents.
